LOCAL MUSIC

This project was inspired by the concept of locality: a phenomenological experience tethered to a particular place -- one populated by the unique people, sounds, smells, sites, sights, and memories that, for us, carry great meaning. Our local space provides a fundamental context for our self-identification and orientation in the world. I wrote music that sounds like it came from exactly such a space, and I drew on my own personal experiences and memories to do it.
